The PEN!

These sweet, loveable, maniacs have pushed me to bring a cage into my living room!  Seriously, I tried to avoid it because they don't like it, but it was becoming a matter of safety.  Adam is all over the place. Ethan is sitting up but gets the urge to throw himself backwards without notice!  As a result, I need a place that I can thoroughly pad and keep Adam contained.

Ha! Didn't I tell you that they hate it?!  To be fair, this was the first day.  They have gotten much better at playing in the "Pen".  I had to stay in it with them for a few days, but they are actually starting to play for a few minutes before they notice that I'm not there.

I'm amazed everyday how much more balance and coordination they get.  Ethan is sitting so well.  Adam, well, he will be walking next week! I'm sure of it!

Justin Finished His Training!

We are all so very PROUD of Justin for finishing his Air Traffic Controller training!  It has been a long, stressful, and faith-building journey these last three and a half years. God is so good! and we are so very blessed!
The timing could not have been better.  He finished on Friday and we headed over to Oxford to celebrate our good friends, Chris and Andrea's, wedding.  Justin's parents, CP and Mimi, were kind enough to come all the way from Texas to keep the boys for us. They also bought a cake and card to congratulate Justin on his impressive accomplishment. Notice the cute hot wheels airplane they found to add to the cake.

Adam and Ethan had a great time with their Mimi and CP.  I love this picture, but it is missing Ethan.  I think I had him inside.
Justin and I had so much fun at the wedding.  We got to see lots of friends from college...including this ole guy.  Hotty Toddy!

New Car for the Boys

My friend, Dorothy, gave the boys this super cool car. She knew that they needed two walkers and was kind enough to help us out.

They really like all of the fun gadgets that are on it, but haven't quite gotten the hang of actually moving around in it.

I'm sure there are many games of bumper cars in our future.

I also need to add that Ethan has decided to start rocking on his hands and knees.  It won't be long now until I have two very mobile babies on my hands.

The Park With the LaFoe's

I am so excited to have more friends to play with during the week.  My friend, Casey, has decided to stay home with her two children.  Trip is 4 and he has a brand new baby sister, Macey, that is not quite 2 months old.  We all had a picnic in our backyard and then took a trip to the park to enjoy the sunshine.

Adam tried out the big boy swing.  He is my little daredevil.

Trip road around on his bike for a while.

Sweet Ethan woke up right when it was time to leave.  Maybe next time he can try the swings too.

Off to Oxford We Go

We made a trip to Oxford on Justin's days off this week.  We needed to trade our mattress for a queen sized one at Mimi and CP's house.  Justin bought me a new bed and I just love it.  Even though we did look like the Clampet's coming to town!

The boys were very excited about visiting with some friends while we were in town.

We spent the night at our friends, the Burton's. The boys got to hang out with their friend, Katie Grace.

And were happy to meet Houston, Katie Grace's sweet puppy.

We had a cookout with a few friends. Adam had lots of fun with our friend, Joey.

This is Katie Grace and her awesome Daddy.

The next day we all went shopping on the square.

Everyone had a great time.  And here is our new bed.

Adam is Pulling Up!

As you all know, Adam is my go baby. However, I was still shocked when I checked the monitor and this is what I saw

He was so proud!  I know he's only on his knees in this picture, but he definitely has the hang of it now.

A Visit From Mimi and Aunt Lulu

It was so nice to have a visit from Mimi and Aunt Lulu! We had lots of fun eating new foods and showing off our new tricks.

Please notice the snazzy knee pads that I made for Adam.  He is crawling all over the place now, and I'm worried about his knees.  He, on the other hand, hates the knee pads! Oh well, I tried.

The weather was very nice this weekend, so Mimi enjoyed pushing the boys in the stroller.

Adam likes to sit in the front so he can see everything that's going on.  Ethan is content to snooze in the back.

 Everyone had a great time.

Nonna comes to town

Nonna came for a visit this weekend, and we had so much fun!  I decided that the boys were sitting up well enough to pull out the big stroller.  We tried to go on a walk, but it was a little too hot to go far.

We came inside to do a little bouncing in the Johnny Jump-ups.

We all went out to eat together... brave, I know.  We decided it was safe to go at 5:30 when the restaurant was practically empty.  Ethan was content to stay in his seat and drink a bottle.  I can't say the same for Adam.  He is quite the adventurer.

Everyone got a bath before church, thanks to Nonna.

We attempted to go to church Sunday morning.  However, the ladies in the nursery had to call me out of service because the boys were so upset. We are working on their separation anxiety.

The Fairs Go To The Park

We are so tired of being stuck in the house on these smoking hot summer days.  Today we decided to have a picnic in the park.  It was a last minute idea, so we ordered a pizza and packed some cokes for us and waters for the boys and headed out. The tables are very shaded at the park, so we were pretty comfortable while we ate.  The babies were nice enough to nap until we finished eating.

Ethan woke up first.  He has been really staring at his hands lately.  He turns them all around and watches them so intensely.  He is such a thinker. Notice he is doing it in the above picture.

Adam only woke up for a minute right before we left, but he was more than willing to give us a sweet smile.

On the way home, we stopped for gas.  I had to get out and take a picture of Ethan's new trick.  He grabs the car seat shade with his foot and pulls. He keeps grabbing and pulling until he gets it all the way down in front of him... who knows :)

Once we got home, I needed to get some things done in the kitchen.  Adam went for a drive in his car.

I just love this little maniac!

Ethan has started to notice our fish.  We won a fish at the Desoto County Fair a few years ago, so we call him the Fair fish or Fishy for short.  Fishy used to live on the other side of the bar, but Ethan really likes to watch him now.  I decided to move Fishy over to where the boys' chairs are.  So far it has really helped entertain Ethan while I work in the kitchen.

The funny thing is, if this were a video, it would look the same.  He is just holding his hand out and staring.  I love watching him discover new things.
