A Day at the Park

We were so excited to have nice weather on Justin's day off!  We decided to take the boys to the park.

Ethan still takes silly pictures with his tongue.
Adam loves to people watch.  He couldn't take his eyes off of this little boy playing on the slide.

Ethan liked wearing his daddy's hat.

After the swings, we took turns on the slide.
Adam wasn't so sure about the slide.
But he really liked being able to run around by himself thanks to his new shoes.

Ethan really wanted his freedom too.  It shouldn't be too long now.  He took a couple of steps on his own today!

After we played on the playground, we took a walk around the pond to watch the ducks.

Adam liked yelling at the ducks.

We had so much fun playing at the park on this beautiful day.  I'm so thankful for these special family days.

Baby Dedication

The Sunday after the birthday party was the boys actual birthday.  Since we had not gotten around to having our baby dedication, we decided to have it on their first birthday.

Another perk to having the dedication on their birthday was that all of our family was still in town to participate.  God has truly blessed us with wonderful, loving families.  We are honored to raise our sons to love the Lord and live lives that bring glory to His name.

Happy 1st Birthday, Adam and Ethan!

Welcome to the Tall and Small!
Welcome, Welcome One and All!

We had Happy Birthdays book by Dr. Seuss for all the guests to write a note to each of the birthday boys.
I found this idea online to make a Thing 1 Thing 2 cut-out for people to have fun taking pictures.  Ethan really enjoyed it!  I think our guests did too...

We had lots of Dr Seuss inspired food.

Thing 1 and Thing 2 Cupcakes

Adam and Ethan had their own cakes.

Adam wasn't too sure about his cake.

Ethan was very happy with his.

We were so blessed to have so much family and friends with us to celebrate!

 We opened tons of presents!

and acted very silly with our friends.

Thank you to all our friends and family that were able to share in this special day and also to those that weren't able to make it. We know you were there in spirit.  Justin and I are continually overwhelmed with love and support from all of you.  We love you so very much and can't wait until the next time we all can get together.
