First Trip to the Grove

We started the day taking pictures on the back porch of everyone in their grove attire. (Everyone but Ethan. He was napping.)

Here are the girls + Adam.

Justin was being a great sport, but he was really wishing Ethan would wake up so we could go.

The boys didn't know what to think about all the excitement.

Justin had Ethan laughing at his silly glasses.

Adam had fun with Mimi and Aunt Lulu.

Ethan still likes to take pictures with his tongue.

We had a great time in the grove.  In a couple of years we will try a game.  Until then, we are grateful to have great friends and family to enjoy all the fanfare with.

The boys love pineapple!  We picked up these neat little things while we were shopping today.  You can put food that they can't chew yet in the mesh bags and they bite and suck on it.

 Ethan took a little coaxing.

Adam dove right in and destroyed that pineapple!

What a fun way to try new foods!

Lazy Sunday Afternoon

This Sunday the boys and I made it to church. They did so well in the nursery!  The weather was so nice that we decided to go for a walk after lunch. Then Ethan played in the pack n play while I watched from the porch swing.

Adam was just inside the opened front door playing with his daddy.  When I went in to check on them, this is what I found!

Thankfully Justin has enough energy to wear this one down.  I don't know how he does it!

First Ole Miss Game (on TV)

The Rebels played the University of Texas El Paso this weekend.  We stayed home to watch the game on TV.  This was the boys first taste of Ole Miss football, so we had to get dressed for the occasion.

This was Ethan's response to Justin's "cheering" when we made a touchdown.

I'm afraid my sensitive little man is going to have to get used to some noise when football is on.

I have a feeling this was the beginning to a lifetime of bonding over wins and loses, excitement and disappointment, and lots of family fun.

Hotty Toddy!

First day of Mother's Day Out

I'll be the first to admit that I was hesitant to do Mother's Day Out this year.  I just thought they were too young to take to "day care".  But it has been the best idea yet!  The boys are doing so much better staying in Sunday School since it is in the same room with a few of the same ladies.  I am getting to recharge and get a few things done that otherwise would fall to the wayside.  Even Justin is getting in on the action.  The boys go on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9-2; and since Justin is off on Tuesdays, he gets to mark some projects off of his list too.

The first morning went so smoothly that I told Justin, "someone must have been praying for me". They were so happy and funny.  They played in the pen while I got their bags packed and even ran around in their cars while I got myself dressed.

Sunday morning I found out that all the sweet girls in my Thursday night Bible study, that I desperately miss, were praying specifically for us on our first day!  I love when you can see immediate answers to prayers!  And I thank God for my sweet friends.

I'm not saying it's been perfect.  I've gotten a few phone calls letting me know that Ethan won't take his bottle. We are working on that, though, and I'm sure he will get used to things soon.

Hot Springs 2012

We went on a family trip to Hot Springs, AR for Labor day weekend with my family.  This is the beautiful house Nonna and Papa were generous enough to rent for us.
Notice our friend, the crane, that spent every morning with us on our dock.  He stood perfectly still until he saw a fish that was exactly what he wanted. It was such a beautiful area.

Sweet Claire having her breakfast... probably her second breakfast.  This girl loves to eat.

Nonna was as happy as she could be covered in her grandbabies.

 Good Morning, Uncle Andrew!

Ethan loves just hanging out with his daddy.

Uncle Andrew trying his hand at feeding Ethan...no small task I can assure you!

I'm so happy Pappaw came with us. Precious memories!

We spent a fun filled afternoon out on a pontoon boat.

Claire loved jumping off the boat to Papa, but wanted back in as soon as she hit the water.

Justin about to ride to inner tube

Ethan thought Aunt Sissy was very funny.

Adam looking super cool in his Hawaiian shirt

We had lots of fun and everyone was ready for a nap on the way back to the house.

Justin and I took advantage of having all the family around and when into town for a date night.

Momma was kind enough to make spaghetti and meatballs and Claire enjoyed hers on the balcony.

The boys had their first watermelon, and they loved it!

Poor Ethan was trying so hard to reach just one more piece!
We went on a hike through a national park.  Justin volunteered to stay and keep the boys, so I could get some exercise.
We hiked all the way to this waterfall.  The water was freezing, but very refreshing. Andrew and Papa let the waterfall give them a massage.

The boys turned 7 months old while we were there, so here are their 7 month pictures.

It's getting harder and harder to take their picture.  Adam is always on the move!
